Fast Five is one of the better Rock performances because it was before he really became what he is now and him and Vin were both playing it very seriously. Six still had that element too, but Seven is when he went started to become too self aware.

Don’t come to these looking for logic.

 

These films are proof that logic in cinema is pointless. Best to just discard it as the way of our ancestors.

 

I mean, most films have an internal logic that they follow, mostly. But Dom could suddenly become a transformer and be an actual car and I wouldn’t be surprised. Their rules of logic are whatever they feel like doing. Which, hey, can produce some fun sequences. But they make no sense if you think about it logically. You have to just go with it for these films. I think logic and fictional logic within films are good.

I thought these were being filmed back-to-back and were coming out a year apart. Maybe that gives them enough time to convince The Rock to come back.
