Pretty sure Dunkin Donuts actually tried this out with their breakfast sandwiches at one point in the last few years, but I don't know anyone who actually tried it and they ditched it pretty fast

 

I tried it, added cheese and it was pretty good I thought lol

 

i have a place that makes doughnuts fresh to order and will also make you fried chicken, so naturally, they do that. i don't trust kfc to do it nearly as well though.
