the other spot is tricky though. I would say if we knew for sure that Gore was out, I would probably pick Ty Johnson but it could go either way between him and Akers IMO

 

I’d definitely put in Akers as one of the RBs and then either Brown or Johnson in FLEX. I’m starting Akers over Edwards-Helaire this week.

 

CMC out at practice again today, ugh. I am now faced with this decision. Do I play Cam Akers tonight assuming CMC doesn't play, or do I wait and if CMC doesn't play, play Mike Davis?

edit: yeah I’m just gonna wait and play Davis if CMC doesn’t play

 

Between the Gibson news and the CMC news, I am so fucking depressed right now.

I picked up David Johnson last week and this week I picked up Swift, but sounds like even if Swift plays, it'll be small packages. I was banking on a HUGE week with the return of CMC to pair up with Gibson and Aaron Jones and this is a win-and-in scenario for me and it all won't matter because I'm playing 3rd place team with DK, D. Adams and Tyreek.

RBs on the waiver now are:
McKissic & Barber (I don't love either option vs SF and I already start McLaurin and Wash offense is bad enough)
Jeff Wilson Jr. (Don't love this option)
Hines (who I just dropped)
AP (I suppose worth a look if Swift is out)

The rest are super longshots/total desperations
Ito Smith
Pollard
Duke Johnson
Hyde
Henderson
J. Williams

 

I’d pick up McKissic, especially since you were going with Gibson anyways

Yeah, if it's ppr league McKissic could be a smash play. I would pick him up for sure.

 

It's not.

 

Gibson is a far superior running back than McKissic and got tons of goal line work. He was also starting to eat into McKissic's targets. McKissic is good for PPR, but this league is not PPR and I just don't see a high ceiling with him vs SF. In my league, J.D has one double digit score game all season long...and even that was just 10.9

 

I'm in standard and also own Gibson ... I picked up McKissic but honestly doubt I'll want to start him.

 

McKissic in non-PPR is a no go

who do I start at Flex? This is assuming AJ Brown and Tyreek hill are playing this week. I can always slide one of those guys to the flex for more flexibility if they sit.

the rest of the lineup is pretty much set minus QB which I’ll ask about here this weekend haha. But WR has been kind of a shuffle most of the season because of injuries to AJ Brown and Woods being uneven. Do I roll with woods this week in the flex? I can slide him or another WR to WR2 and put Brown in the flex in case he doesn’t play.

 

Tyreek is fine, he practiced today....AJ Brown however did not for the 2nd straight day

I would slide Woods in tonight just to be safe and put AJ Brown at flex for now

Any other options with better match-ups? You could probably settle for Cam Newton and hope for a rushing TD...but both those are kind of limited plays. Though I guess Dalton v CIN or whatever out there isnt ideal either
