I'm thinking about going to 3WR and then a flex that is still TE eligible if you decide to draft say, Gronk, Ertz or Kelce over a WR. Thoughts?

 

Thats not a bad idea. I like having the TE position just because its such a shit show haha

 

Love 2 score the 2nd most points of the week (by far) and lose by 5

 

I had John Brown in my flex all week, at 12:57 pm today I placed Allison over him. That cost me 10 points. I’m going in tomorrow’s game up 38 points but facing Mahomes, KC’s kicker and Thomas. Probably gonna lose.

 

One thing I've learned in fantasy and stopped doing years ago (for the better). Don't tinker!

 

Both my teams shit the bed this week, I actually prefer to get blown out by like forty instead of lose in the single digits.

 

As soon as I did it, I felt it in my stomach. I typically don't tinker, ever. Not a tinkerer.

But I was out and about and read on Twitter that Cobb was out so I figured Allison may have a big day and only had about two minute to think about. As soon as it turned one I knew I made a big mistake.

Currently I have the most points in the league this week, and will likely stick around near the top. To make matters worse, I'm a Browns fan, and am still really pissed off about the reversal of the game-ending first down, which not only led to the Browns losing, but also led to Amari Cooper getting another 50 yards in Overtime, who I'm playing against this week. So that's another five costly points.

 

Up 81-73, opponent has Watkins left and I have Butker. If I end up losing at least i'll feel better knowing there was not a single player on my bench that outperformed any of my starters so there's nothing I could have done differently lol

 

3WR leagues are just as bad, as someone currently in one (though, that league has like 8 bench spots, which doesnt help either). When you're relying on teams 3rd WRs to fill out a lineup, its painful.

Going forward, all my leagues will be QB/2RB/2WR/2Flex/1Def/1K....though im considering dropping the kicker too. The league I am commissioner for is basically already that, but with a TE instead of 2nd flex. It also has only 5 bench spots and 1 IR spot. It actually makes the waiver wire interesting, since there are always good flex options to pick up last minute, and the choice of who to drop is tricky.

 

K and TE are definitely the worst positions in fantasy. Kickers, because they are so random and the difference between the #1 K and #12 K is pretty small. But far too many weeks, a kicker going off decides a matchup.

And TE because they arent even 6 useable TE's week to week, let alone 12. So in a league with a shallow bench, holding 2 TE's is devastating.

 

There are leagues that are only 2 WR?

The standard I've played in is always 2 RB/3WR/Flex

 

Tinkering has really fucked me in Draft Kings.

 

Yahoo is the only standard I know of that uses 3wr, ESPN and most others use 2
