Y’all this is bringing me back, I’ve been yelling “ CLINTON SPARKS” at my girlfriend all day. Now just put Pavlove for some reason and I’ll be happy

LOL this made me laugh. I said it out loud in my car to myself the first listen.

Also - don't we have an official Pavlove release? I thought it was on a Folie deluxe or something. I definitely have a studio version on my iTunes

I dug CFOB or whatever it's called up last night on an old laptop and this is truly a thing that would never happen now. It's a straight up mixtape for an entire pop punk label with hip-hop interludes and a demo for a Panic's Nearly Witches under a pseudonym, The Paul Revere Jumpsuit Apparatus. 2008 was... weird.

Yeah these guys were fantastic headlining Reading Festival (as always) last night.

I don’t really like the post hiatus music much but they are good live and getting to hear Thriller, Grand Theft Autumn, Sugar, etc, was amazing.

Neither is Lullabye, the bonus tracks on From Under The Cork Tree, or Evening Out With Your Girlfriend. Fortunately the deluxe songs for Infinity on High are or I’d be really bummed.

    Yep. I'm the same.
Also a fairly progressive title back then considering the 2018 climate. Way to go, FOB!

That and the MCR "Homophobia is gay" shirts.

Ngl as a youngster at the time, Pete speaking out on how bad "that's so gay" is is what got me to stop saying it the few times I did. I had just never heard anyone point out how insulting it was. And then from that I made the connection about the r-word too. And mcr speaking out about how girls don't have to lift up their shirts at shows was impactful too. I mean I was young so I never did that, but I was like woah hey we don't have to be objectified? Not all these band dudes are sleazy and there are other ways for validation?? I learned a lot about politics from researching punk bands too. It's why I wish more public figures used their platforms for good because as a sheltered kid from a rural conservative area before internet was as massive as it is now, that's how I learned stuff. Nobody around me was rly teaching me so I learned it from people using their platforms wisely.

Anyway I know Ive said that a zillion times lol I just get all on my soapbox!

  16. Tooootally forgot about that Clinton Sparks mixtape. I loved LEK back then! Forgot about it and glad it’s back. That song is SO GOOD.

Can't find it now but this reminds me of that old video of Matt Skiba in the skatepark interrupting an interview to intervene in a bullying situation, then the bully calls him gay and he instantly without missing a beat says "there's nothing wrong with being gay". That always struck a chord with me, such a great response instead of just the typical "no I'm not"

It obviously changed a bit from the original direction of the demo, but damn, I forgot how good this song is

I've said it in multiple threads but Vices & Virtues is easily Panic's best album imo. Perfect blend of their old "weird" stuff with the poppy newer direction

  21. The one Feldmann influenced album everyone is cool with it seems.

Speaking of weird Panic, Too Weird is my favorite. I still think it's their most cohesive album as a whole.

Hot take AB/AP is one of my fave fob songs. I know it's polarizing but I love the fast pace frenzy. It's so fun and a great gym song.
