Didn't like much off their last two, but I'm actually enjoying this song a bit.

I see why Pete was saying how stressed/nervous he was.

While the chorus is a bit shocking at first, that didn't last too long because I listen to a lot of pop radio and choruses like this are becoming far more common.

On the whole, I am digging this I think. But the "kill me twice...kill me twice like my name was Nikki Sixx" line really does not hit my ear well haha.

    Keep on moving. Busy street.

I hope the rest of the album is just as weird and experimental, but in a different way. I don't want an album full of these extremely heavy EDM choruses, but if they try a variety of new things that feel unexpected, then I'm in.

Ah, thanks. I am only listening through shitty lap top speakers.

I actually googled Mickey 6 because I had no damn clue. Haha. I will edit my original post so as not to continue to look like an idiot.

The chorus literally hurts. Sounds like the remix to a song I might have enjoyed.

Was that an "Oops....I did it again"? Do we really need a Britney's Spears call back line?

I'm all for bands evolving and getting better, adding to their musical diversity. I don't even know what that was. After Pavlove, every Fall Out Boy songs sounds like a Club remix. I can't even hear instruments anymore. I do have to accept that long gone are the days of any punk or alternative influences like Elvis Costello. I wonder if this song would stand even the slightest chance of getting radio play if it didn't have the Fall Out Boy name attached.

I'll head back over and listen to Blink 182's new song. Something different from them, but interesting good and more fore me.

Ps. Patrick still has a unique and interesting voice. I miss hearing it without effects because he did so much cool playful stuff without it.

i hope whoever produced this song didn't produce the whole album. those vocal chops are a crime against humanity

Its so interesting going back through this bands catalog and seeing how they've developed into what they are today. It may not please everyone, but they know how to write and deliver on experimentation. Ever since Saves The Day's 'In Reverie' album....I've come to appreciate bands that take risks like this. They take a lot of heat for changing stuff around and may lose some of their fan base, but it's worth the risk to grow. I cannot imagine being a band 10-20 years and playing the same style over and over again. Especially pop-punk haha. Props to FOB, Paramore, Yellowcard, and any other bands I didn't mention that were willing to take risks.

Yup, I'm onboard af with this. This is probably the weirdest thing they've done, but it's still not that weird.

Not seeing any radio play from this lol

Ha I kinda thought this too. There'll probably be some variation so maybe we'll get some

I think it's also worth noting while their past lead singles are indicative of a direction, there aren't a bunch of songs in the record that are like stylistic copies

The chorus was interesting and made me pay more attention to it a bit more.
    Production is decent too.

this song isnt weird at all. weird for fob, maybe but even then theyve been going with the wave of whats "in" since they got back. big EDM is in. if you think this wont be on radio you're dead wrong.

I thought that they'd lose some of the darkness that was present in AB/AP, but this sounds even darker and more subversive. If the whole album keeps with that thematically, this might be their most "conceptually driven" record
