So, it was the announcement... of an announcement date?

 

Cool, I opened up the stream and it flashed 'Fall Out Boy 4.28.17' so next week.

Yea I can't lie it's pretty shitty to ask people in the middle of a work/school day to rush off to movie theaters with no context as to what's happening, and then just flash a quick screen teasing something next week. They were trying way too hard on this one and it backfired. I can't imagine how pissed I'd be if I left work or something for this.

 

What could this possibly have been that would have been worth leaving work for? Ha.

 

I mean I'm sure people did it or otherwise went out of their way. I would've thought it would've been a music video premiering their new song or a livestream of some sort.

 

If all this was was a 3 second hype trailer for an announcement next week, couldn't they have just put this on their social media?

I'm not sure where I said I did or that anyone had to, let's take work out of it. I'd be pissed if I spent money on transportation, wasted my lunch break, wasted time out of my day, etc. for something this anti-climatic.

Generally if you're that cryptic about something, it's because there's an interesting payoff. This was not interesting. This was stupid.

 

I think the same argument stands. No one was forced to go to this. I don't care if this was a "let down" or not but it sure as shit has this guy excited.

 

Has it been confirmed that this is an announcement for an announcement. That would probably take my excitement level down a lot.
