"20 Dollar Nose Bleed" would've been their best closer ever, I can't believe that didn't become the biggest song in the world, holy shit. I mean, that's the kind of song you close out the Grammy's to, streamers and balloons from the ceiling and everything.

Also, totally irrelevant, but.... anybody else think Patrick was cuter before he lost the weight? Speaking as a hetero dude, I was totally biflexible for that guy in high school.

I like Evening Out with Your Girlfriend.

  3. 4 years later and I think I like Save Rock & Roll even more than ever. It's such a good written pop album. Such a great way to comeback, even if it wasn't what their fans expected.

I've always thought Coffee's For Closers would be a better closer than What a Catch

I know a lot of people love the sequencing for FAD but I think if the What a Catch and CFC were the final two songs it would be even better

Why doesn't everyone share what they'd want the sequencing of FAD to be? I'd love to hear the albums with those sequencings

What a Catch and Coffee's for Closers are good where they are, West Coast Smoker is a great closer

Coffee's for Closers might be my favourite song on the album but I don't think it would be that great as a closer. WCS is ok.

count me as one of the people who loves "west coast smoker" as a closer. it's cool that folie ends so furiously. "what a catch" i guess would make a better traditional closer but i like that it's in the middle of the album (and i generally love it when bands put songs that would work well as closers in the center, bc it gives the album a really unusual but interesting rhythm)

i was thinking the same thing yesterday while listening to ab/ap bc "the kids aren't alright" would probably make a better traditional closer than "twin skeletons" but "twin skeletons" is such a strange and dark place to end up in

  9. Very good point, I'm not a fan of alternate tracklistings so I'm okay with what we got.

Almost every song on Folie would have been a better lead off single

And west coast smoker is the biggest fuck you to your preconceptions about the album that you just listened to. It's the best closer

The band is going to be on Teen Titans Go soon, so that should be fun too.

Patrick's best animated appearance is always going to be Blue Rabbits Fucking, though.

Yay! Hope it's a bit of a departure from the last two albums. But I did really like the last two so no complaints if it's more of the same!

I've liked all the post-hiatus material (minus the movie and sports team tie-ins) but I would love if we got an album a bit closer to Infinity On High / Folie

anyone who's hoping the next album sounds more like pre-hiatus fob is going to be very disappointed

completely wild speculation here but, uh, just based on the fact that they were shooting on venice beach and the time of year etc etc i'm going to go ahead and guess that this single will be their attempt at a "summer anthem". cant wait

  20. it will probably sound like surf pop punk like Fight Fair's California Kicks

I want it to be just a bit more youthful pop-punk sounding and less of that crunch. Wait and see.

I definitely don't think it'll be like pre-hiatus FOB, but I am personally hoping they try something a bit different on the next album, even though I enjoyed both SR&R and AB/AP. I feel like they could still keep some elements of what they did on those albums while maybe adding in something different for them. That may just be my personal hope though since I now think AB/AP was a weaker version of SR&R for the most part.

I wouldn't mind if they went into a more introverted route. Just something less poppy pls

i can almost guarantee you that it will be very very poppy. heh.

Yeah, personally I don't mind it being poppy but I just hope it's still different from the last 2 albums somehow. If it ends up being a third album of the general SR&R & AB/AP sound I feel like it'd start to get stale.
