    Holy lord that set list.

They haven’t played Gin Joints in 15 years. That feels like a crime against humanity.

Swap American Beauty for literally any other song and that is definitely an awesome setlist

Who played guitar in place of Joe?

Pretty sure it's his tech, Ben Chandler

Yes, Ben played played guitar tonight and they did not play gin joints. The setlist on setlist.fm is correct. Would have loved to have gotten gin joints, but calm was a nice treat.

  9. It's the second one I had in mind when the synths popped up.

I've seen this said on this forum before... is this some weird thing kids are doing nowadays where throwing up is the thing to do? Seems kind of gross.

First single was decent but I love this new one.

Games We Play opened the show last night. I had heard of them because I’m pretty sure the singer is the son of one of the members of Glasseater. Pete is really into them, which is probably why they got signed to his label and FBR. Their stage presence was very 90s Blink 182, which was pretty hard to watch in 2023. They mostly talked about their penis sizes, the women they have been with, and how their drummer is newly single and likes older women. They also mentioned the singer’s brother is 18 and is out with them and has not kissed a women yet.

They play a modern take on pop punk (beats and samples at times, modern hip hop influenced delivery at times) that pulls directly from 90s alternative, Blink, and Good Charlotte. Not sure what it was, but the guitarist plugged into this tower that looked like a PA rather than an amp and head setup. They play the whole recorded track, including the vocals, and then sing and play over top. There were times the performance and the recording was not in sync. As an old head at this point, that was kind of weird to watch. They have a song Deadbeat that I’m pretty sure is lifting the chorus from Teenage Dirtbag. Hopefully it’s credited. They also covered Mr. Brightside.

I’m guessing the band has a pretty big social media following bc a lot of the younger FOB fans were into it. With pretty simple songs that are easy to digest and a good label and social media following, I’d expect to hear their name more.

I think the main guy blew up from a tiktok video and got signed/discovered because of it. I remember seeing it a few years ago. Some song he wrote for his girlfriend that went viral

    edit: found it

It's just the way things are nowadays, the play is to get as many different songs as possible onto Spotify playlists and mixes ahead of release. I agree that it's dumb.

Gave a listen to the last three albums and can say that these two new releases really have made me way more excited than them. I remember SRAR being a super exciting release and actually meant a lot to me when I was studying abroad, but it definitely has not held up. If you take my top 2 or 3 songs from the past three albums, you'd get a pretty nice FOB record.

Might continue my backwards discog run today.

Look at the new Gorillaz album rollout, half the album is already out and another track out tomorrow still

Had such a good time last night. It was nice to see them indoors, it's been such a long time since I've seen them somewhere other than Wrigley or the amphitheater. So grateful I was able to go

My biggest nitpick is playing Centuries as the last song before Saturday. I mean I knew they'd play it, but I would've much rather they swapped it with Sugar or something lol

I do have to say it was super weird seeing them without Joe. Especially cus the stand in guitarist was way off to the side so they really looked like a 3 piece
