I guess so. I felt like there was so much praise for it upon release. But maybe I was in a bubble and the casual FOB fan just wants the hits.

I get playing the singles but I'd personally rather hear the pop-punk September.

Maybe even swap out a TTTYG song for it. Although doing 2 songs with that production would be kinda weird.

It's the drum pattern to start both songs. That's where the comparison ends.

Sorry can't abide anyone denigrating Fake Out, I popped hard when they played it live, it's become one of my favorite FOB songs in general.

I think everyone here basically likes it. But apparently it has not popped with the majority of the audience at the shows. I don’t see them for a couple more weeks, so I can’t speak to it personally yet.

Literally everyone around me in the lawn was singing it

I mean, I’ll be singing it at my show. I’m just repeating what other people said earlier in the thread. Maybe they’re exaggerating. I don’t know.

Those people clearly don't like good music then..

In Chicago, LFTOS and Grudge got good reactions in my section. Fake Out and Heaven, not as much but everyone lit up the paper hearts for Fake Out so it was still cool.

do I need to tap the "multiple songs on Mania could have easily fit on Stardust with very slightly tweaked arrangements" sign again

Fair enough. I thought they were fun and still put them on at the gym sometimes. Not landing on anyone's 'best of' playlists anytime soon, but still a good time.

  21. lol, I hate them so much I've never actually scrobbled that entire EP:

Truly the only thing the band's ever released, hell, the only thing Patricks ever sung, that I can say I hate.

Didn't realize folks didn't like that EP lol, I thought it was a fun change of pace from everything else they were doing at the time

I hated it when I first heard it. I’ve listened a couple times during a discog run, and a couple songs are okay to me now. But yea, least favorite release from them for me.

I honestly did not recall what that EP was and assumed it was some early demo I forgot about. Nope, it apparently came out right after Save Rock and Roll! Listening to a few songs right now, it's... a neat creative exercise that I'm sure was fun to make and I'm glad exists, but don't think I'll ever listen to it all on purpose.
