so this album is really them fully realizing what this new era of fall out boy means, these are the strongest post-reunion songs by a lot

 

i like that SRAR opened with sharp violins, AB/AP opened with horns, and this one starts off with those dark synth and snare hits.

this is v good

 

heavens gate is a bit of a lull but a great song nonetheless. probably shouldn't have put it right after church, they're kinda similar

 

Only on Stay Frosty... and holy shit this is good

 

I am also all in on the closer.

 

The "I can doooo anything I can doooo anything" bit in the bridge of Champion is ridiculously good. Always forget about it until it hits.

 

as if anyone was in doubt patrick stump is easily the best vocalist to come out of the pop punk world, he's grown so fucking much in the past 15 year its insane.

 

i can't wait to get to the closer I'm skipping champion and young and a menace

 

i think this album is prob patrick's best recorded performance

 

I've been left stunned multiple times now. church and heavens gate especially though.

this is easily as good as SRAR. over time i can see myself liking it more.

 

i don't even know if it's my fav modern fob record but it's very good and has only gotten better as i've spent time with it

"champion"'s a lot easier to take at track 7/leading into "sunshine riptide"

 

champion still the clear low point tbh i don't think i'll ever love this song
