This guy may be posting like Dennis Reynolds but to be fair AB/AP is a bad album

 

AB/AP is certainly a bad album, but it doesn't really excuse any of this nonsense

 

I hope you can take time for yourself, find help you need, and get better. I truly do. Mental health is a serious issue, and I'm pulling for you.

for what its worth its given me a good laugh.

 

We've talked a lot about weird rollouts lately, but truly this has to be one of the weirdest. So the album is not done, got delayed until January, and now a week before it was originally supposed to be released, we're getting a 3rd song from the album, which the band has said will only have 10 songs (I think they said that right?), so we'll have 3/10 songs 4 months before the album is supposed to come out? Maybe Champions or something gets cut though, who knows.

 

Based on their recent Kerrang interview I think the MANIA we'll be getting is going to be very different to what was originially planned. Definitely a weird rollout, but I respect them for not putting out something they consider to be subpar.

 

I haven't seen that. Is it online or just in the magazine? That's what I'm hoping for at this point is that they really just started from scratch. I still have faith they can put something great out (imo they've never made a bad album). I haven't given up or anything. They just seem a little lost, but hopefully they've figured it out now.

 

Always excited for a new FOB single, I'm just gonna listen to all of them as they come out because the rollout, while very strange, has been memorable

 

I would like it if they cut Champion

 

I wouldn’t hate it. It’s an ok song, but nothing remarkable.

 

I'd be happy if they ditched it too.

 

I'd be very surprised if Champion was not on the album, though I wouldn't be upset.

 

Since the album is already up for pre-order on iTunes and you get Young & Menace and Champion with it, I wonder how cutting songs would work

 

I really think there is a zero percent chance they drop either from the track list

 

I was really just throwing it out there as a hypothetical. I doubt anything gets cut. It's just weird to me to have 3 singles out already.

I could see them premiering it on KROQ and then it hitting streaming services tonight.

Very interesting to have a track order, but not have the album done. I would assume that means that the songs themselves are chosen, but maybe not fully recorded/mixed/mastered whateverr

 

ok, after listening to the three songs...champion sounds like it will be the odd song out on the album, and it sucks because Patrick riffs hard at the end. Y&M and LOTRO are both very different and huge songs. Y&M can be an absolute barnburner if they "touch" it up a little bit and make the chorus hit a little differently. I am officially hype for the album again.

 

We should get the thread title stylized like the band has it, with the odd spacing
