Yup. I had found some of his writings from one of his books ages ago on Tumblr. Don't remember if anything from Bang the Doldrums were in that book.

The first time I heard Carpal Tunnel of Love was in that Happy Tree Friends video. Takes me back in time.

I don't think he really wrote with/for them. He probably didn't want to get into the situation when asked.

 

Eh. I heard basically the exact same as what he said from the band back in the day. It was a very weird situation.

 

Whether the lyrics were written for or simply used by those songs, some of the commenters on that Reddit think the fact that he was initially uncredited was unintentional, and while there was some sort of legal action, there wasn't/isn't necessarily any beef between him and the band, is what I'm getting.

I've never been a big fan of Carpal Tunnel though, especially Pete's super out of place screaming part

 

After last night, I can confirm this is a good album to cook to.

 

Its funny that chunks of Doldrums were written by Wes, considering there was a very vocal portion of the fanbase who were convinced it was about Mikey Way haha

 

“It was ice cream headaches and sweet AVALAAAAAANCHE” is my least favorite moment on Infinity lol I love CTOL but that whole bridge doesn’t hold up well at all

 

song is surprisingly great live. can't believe patrick (or anyone alive) can sing it live

 

Seriously. Going from the bridge straight into the chorus and pulling it off is bananas.

 

Coming back to $20 Nosebleed after a while and realising there was A FUCKING MANIC STREET PREACHERS REFERENCE in the first verse was a 'holy shit' moment for me. Same with figuring out who sings half the chorus of WCS.

 

Surely that must be their best TV performance ever, right? God damn.
