I've had an ETID tattoo for 10 years now, got it a few months before Gutter came out. It is the stylized I with "Godspeed Us to Sea" underneath it. Next month, they will have released 6 albums since I got the tattoo, so I think it might be time for another one!

One of my best friends has that on his left shoulder. It's written in this cool custom font on a torn up scroll looking thing, was pretty jealous when he first got it

Luckily I have my own tattoo machine, I think I might just give myself a small ETID tattoo soon, to hold me over til I design a bigger piece.

 

I dont know why, but I always find myself drawn to songs in which Keith sings about drowning or suffocating. Godspeed Us to Sea, Typical Miracle, The Coin Has a Say to name a few.

Edit: and how could I forget Overstayer? One of my favorite songs

 

Overstayer into If There Is Room To Move, Things Move slays.

 

The imagery of Overstayer is probably my favorite thing about FPU. Such a great record.

In other news, I'm about to do something I dont do often. Im gonna give Ex Lives a spin.

 

Does anyone else love Roman Holiday? We were talking about their creepy songs the other day, and I think it definitely counts as one of those.

 

Love it. That song blew me away the first time I put NJA on. It was so different, and an absolutely fantastic way to start that record.

Love the album, but it came out at a bad time for me. So I put it at the bottom of my list. Listening to it can cause issues for me at times, but I'm in a good place today, so I am throwing it on!
