Haven't really gotten into this band yet, but I think what I've heard so far is solid so I'll check this out

I think I’ve listened to their split with Thursday before. I know I’ve listened to A Dead Sinking Story at least

 

Also they're one of the best live bands I've ever seen.

 

A dead sinking story is one of the best in the genre

 

Be sure to check out Insomniac Doze if you're more into a post rock/screamo mood... You can't go wrong with all their material.

 

I’m so stoked for this. Interesting that the new song clip is a bit of a throwback to their ‘early’ sound.

I've heard this and it's SO good. Happy they managed to avoid breaking up after what happened, and not only have they saved the band, they've made an absolute ripper of a record that justifies them not calling it quits.

What's the backstory here?

 

yeah i read on the album pre-order page how this is the first album since "reuniting with [their] briefly estranged singer"
don't know if/why he left briefly

 

He left for a couple years iirc

 

album is huge

 

I'm a big fan of the last record, but admittedly I have yet to check anything out prior to that album (Changing that soon). The two songs I've heard from this are incredible and I can't wait to hear the whole thing.

This is incredible - band sounds reinvigorated

 

On my first listen now and I would agree with this statement. Also it’s more varied, engaging and energetic than anything they’ve put out since A Dead Sinking Story, there’s some absolute bangers at the back end of this record.

 

gonna jam this on my way to work tomorrow, i'm fucking stoked.
