Last month, Ryan and Brian's new band 1st Vows covered some Envy On The Coast songs and said they want to do it more. They just told everyone to follow their twitter

Guessing those numbers in the header are dates for Envy On The Coast shows, though it seems it'll just be Ryan, Brian and some backing musicians. I really wish we could get another record from them.

I'm bummed now, thought it would be a reunion. Blah.

  7. I listened to Lucy Gray last weekend and still really like it. I saw them once when they were touring on that album, and it was spectacular, but I'd definitely be up for a reunion.

Def gonna hit up the EOTC discog. on my way home from work. Still waiting for the "Heavy English" debut LP. Sal Bossio's projects have been my favorite since they split but he has only released a handful of songs.

Doesn't surprise me if they couldn't get everyone together but got the blessings of everyone. Even so, I'll probably go.

Lowcountry is up there for one of my most played records the last decade.

The lead singer had been teasing a new project entitled, The Hand That Wields It, but a week or so ago he mentioned that something came up and that it would be put on indefinite hiatus. Maybe it's because Envy On The Coast is getting back together?

The acoustic version of Tell Them She's Not Scared is amazing.

Their cover of All Along The Watchtower is pretty fun, too.

The Hand That Wields It is something Brian has been working on for years, basically since Envy had broken up. Lowcountry is top 5 easily records for the decade for me easily

Was thinking the same about the new project. Also, it's Brian's project, not the lead singer Ryan's. Ryan's project right now si 1st Vows which is really good.
Weird to think they haven't been able to get everyone together, but would still go out as Envy with just Brian and Ryan though. I'm not bummed, but damn those guys complimented each other so well on the records and live.
This video of them doing Southern Comfort live is fantastic. Must watch for anyone who hasn't seen it.

EOTC was incredible, I'd love to see some activity in the future, even if it were just writing an EL or something and not really touring off of it. They were just really great at writing music together.

1ST VOWS is pretty hit and miss for me, unfortunately. NK, on the other hand, still holds a top 5 spot for records put out in 2013. One of those albums that is so good that I don't even care if we ever get a proper follow up.

Yeah I thoroughly enjoyed North Korea's debut. I don't like it as much as you, but it is a lot of fun.

I remember seeing them open for TBS and Anberlin in 2009...my 2nd show ever. I'd go to reunion shows in a heartbeat.

This is the best thing to come from ex-EOTC members. Sal sounds sooooo much like Ryan!

Have you guys listened to the 'Quiett Dog' project? I'd rate their side projects like this:

    1. Heavy English (Sal)
    2. Quiett Dog (Ryan)
    3. NK (Ryan Hunter)
    4. 1st Vows (Ryan & Brian)
    5. No Machine (Ryan)
