The whole thing makes me feel weird. I straight up love his work and it’s part of why I got into film in the first place but it’s pretty damn bad to hear that he knew and basically did nothing. Like at the very least, he acknowledges that he should of did something and admits he fucked up but it’s still a horrible look on him.

Honestly, it would have been way easier for Quentin Tarantino to make some condemning statement and wait out the Weinstein press than to admit complicity and honestly own up to his part in allowing inexcusable behavior. I'm not patting him on the back because he's a fucking straight white dude and the bar is low enough for straight white dudes and by his own admission he allowed in his own way this violent and abusive behavior to take place and nothing he says can make right his inaction. But for someone in the position he's in, that response is better than routes taken by the Afflecks and Damons.

 

Agree that it's a bar set 10000 miles below sea level. Agree that it's better than Affleck. However it's convenient for the repercussions of his confession that Tarantinos been going on about his retirement for years now.

I've been thinking a lot about how little it takes for an actress to be deemed "difficult to work with" versus men in Hollywood who can get away with murder
