I am surprised it is Fox Searchlight, which usually means a smaller film. You would think that studios would love a giant tentpole with Swift doing director and actor duties.

 

Probably better for her development to start with a smaller production. I’m curious what it’ll be like.

 

I mean, a smaller Taylor Swift film will probably still make tentpole money thanks to the Swifties. If I’m thinking in cynical corporate terms, sounds like a pretty great investment.
