Haven’t watched nearly enough movies. Loved Nope and Everything Everywhere. Really liked The Batman. Don’t think I enjoyed a single other superhero movie.

I stopped watching “award” type movies that I don’t give a shit about so there’s no way I’m sitting through Tar.

I watched two movies with Todd Field acting in them last week

 

it probably is and I might even enjoy it if I watch it but I have no interest and don’t want to spend 2.5 hours watching it. My attention span has also been shit the last year.

Everything Everywhere All At One.

I still have a lot to watch this month, but it's hard to imagine anything topping Everything Everywhere All At Once. I hate that all the "prestige/awards" movies get dumped in the final 2-3 months of the year, some of them in limited release until Jan. So annoying.

 

Yeah there was a period in august/September where I saw ET, Rogue One & Avatar in theaters. Definitely could have released some movies then!

 

Didn’t get around to seeing Tár. Apparently there’s a theater near me playing it through Thursday, but I dunno if I’ll be able to make it.

I’m definitely personally very team Everything Everywhere All At Once. Fun to see so many other people also rank it pretty high. ‘Twas silly and fun in a way that was very my shit, with an emotional core that was also very my shit.

 

Banshees of Inisherin is probably mine. Tár is up there though, and I still need to see Fablemans

 

I had a bad theater experience with everything everyone everywhere times one so it kind of spoiled my feelings. Need to rewatch it.

 

I thought it was ok. Hype definitely sunk it a bit for me

this was me with every album that came out this year haha, it's felt like 4 years at least
