Ehh, I know Casey Affleck is problematic but his performance in Manchester by the Sea was worthy.

Yep. I didn’t care for most of the others. Admittedly I haven’t seen The Danish Girl, but I don’t think Redmayne is a good actor in general so I’m just going to assume it’s bad.

 

Yea, the Revenant win just felt like a lifetime achievement award more than anything else.

 

It was. The whole thing was surrounded by fans begging for him to finally win.

 

Well yeah, it is definitely the best one on there, but the outside stuff makes it questionable.

 

The best thing about the Revenant was the brief moment when conservative news outlets spread a rumor that the bear had sex with DiCaprio.

 

And the worst thing about the revenant was the decision to have him stare at the camera on the final scene

 

We're less than 6 months away from the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, have there been any announcements of any docuseries or anything like that about it? They did a bunch of 9/11 stuff for the 20th, would kind feel would if we didn't get anything for Iraq too.

 

It was Leo threatening to die on film next time if they don't give it to him this time.

 

Definitely not the worst Leo performance but not Oscar worthy. Also yeah Casey Affleck sucks but that was one hell of a performance.

Few movies I have less interest in seeing than joker

 

he was terrible, like a parody of a performance.

 

I remember in 2014/2015 when society just collectively decided to pretend that Eddie Redmayne is good.

 

If that is a good performance I'd hate to see a bad one.

 

Phoenix is fine in Joker, but I never understood the insane praise. He’s given much better performances elsewhere.
