I was surprised how many people brought young children. I have mixed feelings on trying to force feed classics on kids.

Maybe Scorcese for me? I love most of his stuff but wouldn't have any in my top 100.

    Oh.

Well, I found a list of what is considered the greatest living directors, and some that stand out are Park chan-wook, Pedro Almodovar, Rian Johnson, Denis Villeneuve, and Christopher Nolan. Most of them are false prophets, though, so the one who I never really liked too much despite decades of acclaim is Brian De Palma.

Saw Da 5 Bloods at Cinemark tonight.

Only five bucks, which was cool; only person in the theater, which was also cool. First viewing since Chadwick died (fuck do I wish he was still working today). Delroy Lindo monologuing into the camera on the big screen hits even harder than it did on Netflix. What a good movie.

keegan is right in principle but that is not the effect that will result. it will just lead to superhero movies having even more of a stranglehold on the industry and box office

Watching the law and order reboot, I’m 6 minutes in and have cringed 4 times.

If anything, the tax makes sense due to runtime. A 3 hour runtime limits the number of showings you can have in that theater each day.
