  1. @Tim in 20 years when all the kids that haven't been born yet are rediscovering the camp ridiculousness of Venom and praising it in meta think pieces or whatever that would be in the meta verse, should we collect our "you were right awards" separately, or together? I think we should start demanding this after Andrew's Spider-Man finally is getting the respect he deserves.

  2. Closest thing, beside Hardy being out of his brains in the perfect Venom films, is maybe Wan's Aquaman, or Birds of Prey and The Suicide Squad. I appreciate how weird those get ... and at least their super fun and unlike Marvel's relative focus grouped blandness.

not just superheroes, in general movies don't have fun tie in songs the way they used to , Shallow is like the only non-Disney song to make a mark in forever

  7. Right?

Like, I think we should demand more Puff Daddy in our Godzilla movies.

I remember being like 8 or 9 calling the radio station to hear the Aerosmith Armageddon song.

I liked Birds of Prey and since I liked the Guardians movies I’ve been interested in The Suicide Squad, I’ve just had a hard time having a desire to watch a superhero movie lately. The Suicide Squad or Venom 2 are the most intriguing

I’ve heard good things about that one too, from critics I like. I almost watched it on a flight a couple years ago but opted for Venom instead

I didn't see Aquaman because I was busy with repeat viewings of Spider-Verse for my theatrical superhero kick at the time, and never circled back. Love that drumming octopus, though. And, love that Wan went on to make Malignant, which has an absolutely wild third act.

Let There Be Carnage is my favorite superhero movie since Birds of Prey, though The Suicide Squad was also fun.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is my favorite entertainment. It is a sequel to 2014’s Godzilla.
The movie has some outstanding battle moments and spectacle twists which makes it more interesting.

That CW news is really interesting. WB clearly wants out of TV. Do they just end their DC shows or move them to streaming platforms? They are definitely all in on HBOMax, but I can't see dumping that much money into those shows being a profitable venture unless they hike prices over time.
