The horror of half of the world’s population disappearing and then reappearing a couple years later is lightly touched on in the stuff I’ve seen that happens post-Thanos. The Spider-Man movie mostly uses it for humor, though

 

Trying to make sense of the Thanos snap and subsequent return is a fool’s errand anyways. To quote the X-Men podcast Cerebro, it’s truly a Don’t Worry About It. The gags in the Spider-Man movie (an otherwise tedious film) are the best approach.

 

What if you disappeared in a Sears and came back in a Spirit Halloween?

 

I’d watch that movie

 

does the MCU Spirit Halloween stock like Spiderman and Iron Man costumes or would that be too gauche

 

I think the Avengers are fully merchandised within the MCU. Ben & Jerry’s even has flavors named after them in the MCU.

 

Once a month all their labels just say “Jerry’s” out of respect for Uncle Ben

I just watched the first Scream again tonight actually for the first time in probably 10 years. Absolutely holds up, and i love how weird Matthew Lillard's acting choices are for the entire movie

 

It’s kind of nuts how in hindsight all of his choices are perfect but I’m sure at the time, while shooting, a lot of the crew was prob like wtf

 

I haven't seen Thor since it was in theaters and I dont think it was like Battlefield Earth levels of dutch angles, but I definitely remember noticing them. Like almost every push in on a vehicle or main character is a dutch angle lol.

 

Yeah I remember getting fed up with Branagh’s overuse of dutch angles and overhead shots in his Shakespeare adaptations. Tom Hooper made me more forgiving in retrospect though
