Scorsese or Coppola deserves number one and I wouldn’t quibble with either, after that yeah @Morrissey is right

 

I kinda think Lucas is a bad director, if that’s what we’re ranking by. Zemeckis has made two perfect films, so I gotta give him the edge there.

 

If you talk about the entirety of their careers it is Scorsese but Coppola's career was so unfairly derailed by financial mismanagement that I wonder how many great films were potentially robbed from us.

 

can’t really imagine a ranking different than this. maybe zemeckis over lucas but it’s splitting hairs.

 

to be fair, he robbed us of the films himself

yeah idk his best work is pretty coppola derivative. dont feel like he is as inspired as his peers or influences.

 

Blow Out is better than any Lucas or Zemekis movie that I’ve seen
