No it isn’t lol. But my last post was. Tough crowd.

 

I feel like Collateral was pretty widely praised on release and it's reputation has done nothing but grow since.

 

I’m not being hyperbolic, I genuinely haven’t had anyone bring that movie up in conversation with me in probably a decade. Never see it talked about on here either. Maybe I’m due for a rewatch.

But with that said I’d still probably hold Ray, Baby Driver, Django Unchained, MIB or Enemy of the State in higher regard personally.

 

It gets talked about in here all the time!

 

As of lately? I followed this thread I think starting in January. Haven’t seen it. Don’t feel like it’s that hard to believe lol.

You know who has never been in a movie with Kevin Spacey? Will Smith.

 

Is Smith the best actor who originally got famous as a musician? Looking through some lists of them, there aren’t actually all that many I would consider good. Or those who I would consider good have only had a select number of roles so the comparison doesn’t seem fair.

Is Frank Sinatra considered a good actor?

I don’t know if I’d consider Wahlberg a particularly good actor so much as a generally competent one who doesn’t weigh down the good movies he’s in. Which I guess is better than most, but definitely not on the level of Smith.

Same with Ice Cube. Though I guess both are good comedic actors

 

Idk, Rah Diggah is pretty excellent in 13 Ghosts.

 

Probably a decent amount of actors who were musicians that just weren’t successful ones (wasn’t Nicolas Cage?)

 

Just remembered Hugh Laurie did some music, idk if he'd be considered successful, though.
