Some of the "high schoolers" in Friday Night Lights look 30 years old. As someone who works in a high school, the disparity is always the weirdest parts of these movies and TV shows.

 

Any time a high school kid looks older in real life it's always like pushing 45 and balding, not looking like a Hemmsworth

 

We have a senior who has a pretty severe balding pattern. I see him a lot with one of my sophomores at after school events and I thought he was her father until she told me they were dating.

Coldplay has some great songs. They should not be associated with that sinking ship.

watched some episodes of The Expanse. I'm bored. and I don't like the sets or art style especially the sets...really poor. Still feels like a Sy Fy show but I was promised by good ratings and friends that it's great and effectively political says some article I saw.

 

I am almost out of season two of Friday Night Lights. It has been everything people warned me of, but yet it still surprises me during every episode. Tim Riggins had no money last episode and is now taking Matt to a strip club and blowing money somehow.

How does Buddy Garrity just show up at practice on a regular basis when his car dealership seems to be the only place in town where people can get a job? How did three teenagers just go to Mexico?

The show keeps resetting characters to the beginning of their arc every time the plot needs them to. Tim Riggins has gone through about five redemptions and then just becomes a drunken bad influence when the plot requires it.

 

If there's one thing I hope you get banned for on this site it's Tim Riggins slander. But not before I hear your John Wick 2 review

I have no intention of watching John Wick 2. The original was enough and generally an okay experience.

 

I assumed Landry was off the team. Coach Landry gets on every player for their failings but he never had anything to say about Landry killing a guy? Did I miss something?

The Love Witch top 5 of 2016 for me.

 

The Love Witch plays here tomorrow night and I am pumped.

 

It's pretty magnificent. Samantha Robinson gives one of the best performances of the year and I wish everyone was talking about it. Her and Isabelle Huppert might be my tops of last year.

Season Three of Friday Night Lights is just as weird as the second season. They just jumped past the playoffs, a guidance counselor somehow jumping up to principal, Smash getting injured, and Tyla switching boyfriends. It is like missing pages from a book.
