    Baby Driver was fun
Hard Eight is good but inconsequential in comparison to everything else
Django and H8 are a step down from every other QT work by pretty solid margins

it felt like a weird balance of how he typically mixes comedy/dialogue-heavy scenes with set pieces. much of it felt like set pieces for the sake of set pieces, with very little else to grasp on to. a glorified music video. also disagree with the sympathetic point. if anything, I'm more to the movie because it's him and how much I love his other films. i think I set my own personal bar too high for it.

Django is definitely the first time I felt QT’s cracks starting to show. I attributed it at least partially to the loss of Sally Menke

I realized in the last several years that I don’t actually like QT that much. And his movies are often far too long for their content.

nonono. Notting Hill. I liked Baby Driver at the time though, thin but just from a technical perspective valuable. Great Jamie Foxx and Jon Hamm performances.

  17. But yeah Notting Hill is soooo good! I watched it today while I was working. Last year for our honeymoon, the wife and I went to London and we went to a few of Notting Hill filming locations, which was fun.

My first time in theaters I really liked it but did feel it was bloated, but on repeat viewings I think it's close to perfect.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. There were brilliant moments but it definitely felt bloated.
