watched Raiders of the Lost Ark all the way through for the first time and it is excellent. The one big blight is the tent scene between the love interest and the rival archaeologist. I don't get the impression that they tried to write her as stupid, so it's weird that after being informed that it's a several week walk through the desert in each direction even if she does manage to escape, she decides her best course of action is to grab a small knife and try to just walk out. Like, the Nazis have guns dude

Also after years of knowing about the freaky Gestapo villain, I was disappointed by how little screen time he ended up actually having. He's way more captivating than the rival archaeologist

 

Random, but House is marathoned daily on one of the channels on cable so I put it on in the background a lot these days. One thing I've noticed about Season 8 when I've actually watched is....I kind of wish we got a few more seasons of House working with Foreman as his boss. Not only is the comedy aspects of it good, but their relationship getting fleshed out more as Foreman realizes he really is like House in a lot of ways and they have a mutual respect for each other and even seem like they're becoming good friends at times is cool.

All that being said, I understand why the ended it when they did and, as far as network television goes, I understand the ending is considered one of the superior ones in terms of wrapping up the story nicely.

Personally I think Last Crusade is just as good if not better than the first one

Blues Brothers 2000 is as bad as its reputation suggests.

It is essentially more of a remake than any sort of sequel, but where the first film had obviously loving tributes to music and genres that had been fading in popularity, this one just feels like a patchwork. It is a rare movie where the needlessly added kid character is not even the worst part; Goodman's character just tags along for unclear reasons and feels like he is in another movie.
