I personally wish Collateral got more love. I remember way back when Sandler was in final talks to play Max.

Speaking of Thief + first times, funny enough I’ve actually been kicking around doing that for my podcast. It’s not a hard film to follow at all.

it’s pretty hard to find a blip in Mann’s filmography through Vice

 

Miami Vice is such an interesting subversion of genre and expectation. A close to perfect film, marred by nu-metal.

 

Yeah the music was all over the place, though I really only recall that Nonpoint cover & Linkin Park as the only nu metal but then he throws in the usual Audioslave songs (because he loved that band for a couple films in the mid 00s) along with freakin Mogwai & RZA lol

Blackhat was also deeply unappreciated.

I didn't know enough about movies when I saw Heat so I really need to see it again.

 

i got to see heat on the big screen a year ago and it was as completely awesome as you'd think. my theater applauded when hanna and mccauley were first on screen together
