  4. I've been rewatching a lot of comedies from around 2003 - 2006 recently and some don't hold up but Anchorman still rules

Haha...I've been wanting to go down that road, but I'm afraid of what I'll find.

Now that one I do watch at least once a year whenever I'm sick or something. The line delivery is on point the entire film, but yes, it definitely has it's problematic parts.

I think there's a ton of 90s and early 00s movies that could go head to head to head for most problematic

I violated my own rule, always read the article before posting. There are a ton of other creative minds that make me more excited. Liu Cixin will help out like Martin did at the start of GoT, Rian Johnson will also be a producer as well as Plan B Entertainment (Ad Astra, Lost City of Z, Moonlight, Okja). Good producers don't necessarily equal good content, but it's somewhat reassuring nevertheless.

My main hangup (outside B&W) is probably Netflix. Many seem to think they chose to produce this so they can enter the Chinese market. I think there's probably some truth to that and it's possible they then gave it to B&W simply because they had that massive contract already signed with Netflix. So are they doing it because they like the source material or is it just a job? Also, I'm nervous they whitewash the shit out of it and recontextualize it for western viewers.

Still, there are enough other people attached to the project to keep me excited.
