no they just don't promote a lot of their indie movies the way they promote their cheap rom coms, they just release them with no fanfare

So if I'm interpreting this right, apparently they thought that even after having multiple scenes stating that the pregnant women never want their baby to be a boy, when they revealed why that is they were still like "Okay but we still gotta show the baby's dick so everyone's clear that it is in fact a boy." Insane lol

Been hooked on Argento recently but took me four films to get to Suspiria.

The first death legitimately gave me a panic attack.

Saw Jojo Rabbit last night. I thought it was great. I can see it being one that I appreciate more with a rewatch down the line as well.

The Lighthouse and Dolemite are next on my list. Hoping to watch both in the next couple of weeks.

The Lighthouse and Jojo Rabbit are both 2020 releases here. Never realised how many films were so late coming out here. It's weird.

I sadly haven't seen nearly as many films as I saw last year (rip moviepass), so any list I could create would feel incomplete right now. But the standouts for me have been:

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
    The Farewell
    High Flying Bird
    John Wick 3
    Jojo Rabbit
    Us
Serenity (this movie is terrible, but holy shit I could not look a way. A movie so baffling I think everyone should watch purely for the wtf aspect)

And I think I've only seen a handful of other movies that range from fine to fun but forgettable. I'm slacking hard on 2019 releases.

Also, I know it's a 2018 release, but I didn't see it until a few months ago - Minding the Gap. It's the best thing I've seen this year.

James Earl Jones is in this episode of Frasier as a blind man in a retirement home. His whole character and subplot is just sublime and touching. I recommend everyone check it out.
