I mean there are definitely some people in the US who have stated if Trump loses they will "take back the White House in any way possible" and that "human deaths will be collateral damage".

A full blown civil war? I highly doubt that. But there are some who will chose violence.

 

I doubt there will ever be kinetic action the likes of which this film portrays. If anything, the US will break up into different factions/states (which would be great), but we won't be killing each other en masse. Nobody wants that.

 

Sadly, some people do want that.

 

Remember when people thought Joker was going to cause a bunch of mass shootings

 

They need a few minutes researching what's happening with the cartels in Mexico. That's enough to put you off violence of that magnitude forever.

 

This country has a hard enough time getting people to even vote. A civil war is not something worth worrying about.

Late to the subtitle/audio mixing discussion, but my Samsung tv's audio settings has something called Amplify Mode, which boosts dialog volume without making the already loud things louder and it's the best. Haven't changed it back in years. The mixing on CW shows were particularly rough from what I remember back when I watched all those DC superhero shows.

Dune 2 is good. Dolby is not. Regular showing ftw

 

Sometimes the Dolby is painfully loud to the point of being unlistenable.

 

I love it

 

The only time I’ve ever had an issue with Dolby was in April 2021, first time back in Dolby after over a year due to the pandemic obviously, it was the last Godzilla & Kong movie. That was admittedly a bit much

 

I fell asleep during a Dolby showing of 1917 and woke up to the plane crash scene

 

I think we saw The Northman in Dolby and it was so good. The audio was reverberating through my body….but in a good way
