its nice to see ps4 getting a game by remedy since alan wake and Quantum Break where xbox only games i hope control is ps4 only

 

Seeing a lot of homophobic comments about Ellie in TLOU 2, pretty damn disappointing. I hate the gaming community so much.

 

haters are gonna hate. best to just ignore them and be happy the industry has gotten to the point where one of the biggest releases can have gay characters.

 

I was so happy when they kissed. Make the female main character a lesbian as well and really piss people off.

Out of the big 4 that were shown off, I think Last of Us looks the most exciting, but at the same time, I don't know how much I want to play a game where you can see the enemies semi-unique face as you stab them in the throat. Maybe a bit much for me.

 

sucks i already own it lol its cool that they did that tho and anyone who preorders blops 4 through the psn store gets access to the 4 maps from the old games in blops 3

 

That's actually pretty cool. I'll try that out, I've heard the campaign is pretty weird. First COD for me since MW2.

 

So Disney XD is rerunning E3 (i have no clue why) and they cut to a commercial for the kiss in TLOU trailer

Apparently yeah. I had a few friends tweeting about it. I seen a quick video and as soon as the lips touch they go to a commercial.

So basically Nintendo has the easiest chance of being the best at E3 with what we've seen from E3 this year. Their presentation is already pretty high up the list with a focus on Smash. All they have to do is announce streaming services like YouTube and Netflix, tell us they're working on a new Animal Crossing and Pikmin and then show like a one minute trailer for Metroid Prime 4 and then drop the mic.

They legitimately could not be in a better position this year.

 

Will never understand why E3 conferences are some competition

Besides EA, there's been lots of great stuff shown and lots of great games that are coming.

 

Well a lot of they is left over remnants of the console wars. "Back in my day..." And then there were also some horrible and cringey moments in the past as well.

For me personally, and I think quite a few others, now it's more of a situation where it's nice to see and evaluate a company's self-awareness, transparency and their connection to their fans/the community. If you have a company who goes up on stage and is so out of touch with everything and announces a bunch of shovelware, ignores their fans and doesn't learn from their past mistakes, they're a company I really don't want to invest much time or money into. I think Microsoft did a really good job lowering the prices of the X1X, getting a bunch of new studios because people kept complaining they didn't have enough 1st party releases and then showed a slew of great games. It proves they are listening and working towards improving their image with fans while delivering quality content.

Anywho, Tl;Dr: public image is important and so is a company's connection to their audience/demographic.

 

i'll be bummed if REmake 2 is only for the PS4 unless I end up getting one before it's released haha

 

I always like picking my favourite conference of the year the same way I like picking my favourite game or album of the year. I've definitely seen a lot of people, mainly on other forums, get pretty heated about making it a competition and arguing about it. I like discussion based on differing opinions but not when it turns into insults.

I think I'd find it hard to pick a favourite this year though, I think it's mostly been fantastic. I think Microsoft and Ubisoft both had very good conferences that flowed nicely without any huge low points and lots of games. Sony on the other hand had my favourite content but had that super weird intro that wasted way too much time.

 

I heard somewhere that it's on Xbox and PC too.

 

It's coming to PC and X1 as well.
