If I’m super into something, the tiniest TV would still take up my entire vision and look like the greatest screen of all time. But nothing breaks that immersion like some dickhead pulling out their bright phone or people talking/chomping popcorn, constant worry if the dude who just walked in is coming from the bathroom or coming in to shoot me. Theaters are horrible because as a society we suck

But anyway, what’s the deal. Can I watch this day 1 on HBO in the US?

True. I am going to go see it in theaters for sure, but if more people watching at home means getting part 2 I have no qualms with it.

  15. I'd like to watch at home opening day then see it in theatres towards the end of it's run with barely any people in the theater

I have never understood wanting to see a big movie like this in an empty theater, but that’s just me. Like, the crowds and the noise and everything are the point, not something to avoid!

  17. I don't want to be around people in an enclosed area. It will probably be a long time before I'm comfortable.

Also I don't need other people to enjoy things lol

Crowds are awful. Opening packets of candy during quiet scenes, lighting up the theater with their phone, the endless talking. An empty theater is ideal.

All of that sounds fantastic for big movies, idk what to say. The whole point of theaters is to have a communal experience, am I crazy?

Literally the only reason I go to a theater is because they have a movie I can’t watch at home. I worked a theater for 5 years, could see any movie for free and I still would have rather paid if I could watch it at my house.

The only movies I like to have a crowd in are comedies or something like the new fast and furious.

This is a ME problem, but I have a lot of trouble focusing one movies at home. The theater forces me to be immersed.

Most of the local theaters have converted to those luxury recliners so it is a lot harder to stay awake in a theater now.
