i remember i saw drug church open for dads in 2013 and i had never heard of them before that and patrick looked like the most intimidating dude ever so i stayed pretty far away but after months of watching him go live on instagram and talking with him a bit sometimes i am now convinced he's the coolest dude to walk the earth. i really think if everyone thought the way he does this world would be a bit more tolerable

This is the most I've ever liked a Drug Church song. Pretty cool

 

Pat actually has a degree in religious studies so mwY might actually be the perfect band for him.

I think it's gone now, but I remember when mwy reissued the I Never Said I Was Brave EP, Pat was on Twitter gushing about it (for him) and called it smth along the lines of a "perfect, messy document" and last night at the show he hyped them up as "being from outer space" and a bunch of other complimentary things that were def more than what the other bands got, though he was v nice about them too

also? they fucking ruled last night I almost got in the pit bc I was so hype but settled for the ring around the pit lol

 

somewhat related: I had been ignoring his bands for a few years because I swear he tweeted something from @selfdfens mocking thrice at some point and it wound up in my feed. can't find it now tho? so this tour made me wonder if my memory is wrong, and now I've listened to Cheer a whole bunch. who knows.

 

Saw Drug Church a few days ago with Thrice/mwY and I’m now obsessed
