Selman is kind of a weird guy

edit: he's friends with Phil Rosenthal, it all makes sense now

 

Yeah, I remember him talking previously about making the interns or whoever stir his peanut butter. Thought that was some weird, rich guy, Matt Groening shit. He at least seems to be pretty self aware and funny, but definitely some weirdo takes.

Also, the farther the show goes out for the summer, the older these episodes are gonna be. This one was like maybe two months old. They have every reason to do it, obvs. Still a bummer.

 

I think they said they’re going to be done recording for the year this July, which is wild. I know Mitch is gona be filming for a while but going to be a bummer when nothing is current

 

That plus talking about having a butler (even for one night) plus talking about paying for private school...he's from a different world, man

 

Yeah can’t wait to hear the trump getting shot at jokes in December lol

Wiger should just live with Mitch in Toronto for 5 months.

 

I would prefer occasional zoom episodes over them still talking about the Celtics playoff run in November episodes

 

Show is fine, I'm sure it's hard to schedule records while Mitch is filming, doesn't bother me

 

Oh i love it and it’s still my favorite podcast by far. But it’s definitely going to feel weird when they’re only referencing shit that’s 6 months old and not talking about all the insane shit that is currently happening

 

If they banked episodes before he filmed season 1, we wouldn’t have got all the bayou and gator talk and that bums me out

 

Yeah, I still enjoy and will listen, but I like it better when podcasts are somewhat current, be it Doughboys, Blank Check or Blocked Party. I like when Mitch is mad at movies currently in theaters!

 

I don’t mind it but it will be weird around election time. Hopefully Wiger tries to predict who wins like 4 months ahead of time.

 

honestly looking forward to the outdated takes and jokes at times, especially if one of the boys is getting work because of it

 

Fell asleep listening to the show and had a dream I was making plans with @The Spoonman to see new Indiana Jones AND Star Wars films in the same day lmao. We were on a bus and when I got to the front, wouldn't you know it, Wiger was driving and forcing me to read him the Wikipedia page for Heat 2

 

Had that same dream last week. Crazy.

 

I’ve filmed just one week of Twisted Metal so far. Headed back to Toronto next week. We are mostly banked (which Wiges loves), but I will say that October will have episodes recorded much closer to their release date. Hopefully the same for some in November and December.

It hasn’t helped that the world has been insane the last few weeks, but hopefully the episodes are still somewhat listenable (if they ever are).

It is impressive how long the doughscord has kept up with the hosts being involved. I think the Actionboyz lasted about a month before the fans got too weird lol

 

I have never been on discord so I never joined the doughscord

 

no one asked
