it really is pretty wild to hear the whole "2016 will be the end of Doughboys" talk in retrospect. it always felt legit to me, that they didnt intend it to be a long term thing. now if they were to announce it was ending id be shocked lol.

He was pretty much guaranteed to dislike it when he hated The Last Jedi despite it doing all of the things he had said he wished The Force Awakens had done (more weird creatures, doing something new and unexpected that wasn’t a retread of beats from the original trilogy, etc.). I remember thinking that there was no pleasing him back when The Last Jedi came out lol.

Granted, the new one also is actually the worst of the three and doesn’t even come close to being as good as TLJ.

 

They need to process it before they can talk about it lol
