It's more than just playing a word-matching game, though. Horror is meant to make you uncomfortable, meant to make you think, meant to answer the question "what would happen if...?" Sometimes horror films are just meant to say "that's pretty fucked!" In some ways horror is a fantasy genre that deals with the darker parts of the human imagination and psyche.

 

Also idk wtf The Happening was suppose to be, but that ruined horror for me too.

Ruined all my friends opinions for me too for forcing me to come to that one as well.
Wasnt worth the free ticket they paid for me on lol.

 

What about It Follows?

 

I used to watch zero horror, I'd rather be the victim in a Saw movie then watch a Saw movie, okay slight hyperbole but you get the point, but starting with It Follows I've found some stuff

I googled and it said horror-thriller, either way I rather be punched in the face religiously on the hour for the rest of my life than see that movie again lol.

 

Good news (for me) everyone!

I FOUND MY WEDDING RING!!!

Long story short, I discovered that it was missing last Wednesday afternoon. I had taken it off the night before prior to my basketball game and I left it at home in my nightstand. I realized the next afternoon that I didn't have my ring on, so I figured I must have forgotten to put it back on that morning when I was getting ready for work. But when I went home it wasn't where I left it - that's when I tried to remember whether I even put it back on in the first place. I was going through scenarios where maybe I got it out of the nightstand but then for whatever reason put it down somewhere rather than put it on. So I pretty much turned my bedroom upside down looking for it.

Then I thought maybe I'd find it at work somewhere, I don't know...it's pretty much where I spend my time when I'm not at home. No luck. My wife took off work on Friday to get the house all cleaned up for my son's birthday party so I thought maybe it'd turn up that day when she was cleaning. No luck. Ok...so yesterday I was sitting at my desk at work and trying to mentally retrace all of my steps from last Wednesday. It pretty much went like this: home -> work -> Target (to pick up the Frozen palace @Dog with a Blog ) -> work -> daycare (to pick up my kids) -> home. I thought that it was a long shot, but I decided to call Target to see if they could check their lost and found. To my surprise (and delight) they said that they did have some rings in their lost and found. It was getting kind of late in the afternoon and I had to leave work to pick up my kids, so I told them that I'd stop by during lunch tomorrow (today!) to see if any of those rings were mine.

And one of them was!!! I have no idea how it fell off - I've never had that happen before. All I can think of is that somehow when I was lifting the Frozen palace (@Dog with a Blog ) off the shelf somehow my finger scraped against the box and the ring slipped off. I have no idea, but I'm glad that I found it!

Ultimately, it's really @littlejohn 's fault for telling me about the Frozen palace (@Dog with a Blog ) but he seems like a pretty good guy so I'll let it slide. Plus, he saved me $60.

when i was younger i remember my friends playing Super Smash Bros on N64 and getting a kick out of picking characters with Fox in the middle and making the games basically say "Mario Fox Luigi" on the character select screen and getting a kick out of it sounding like Mario Fucks Luigi

My brother got kicked out of a neighbor's house by the kid's mom because he yelled something along the lines of "take that, DK!" While playing super smash. Dk for donkey Kong. The kid's mom thought my brother called her son "dickhead." Lol

 

I mean.... i would advocate for that particular flavor in particular people's cases... but I feel like this is a slippery problematic slope getting into the taste testing processes and all. lol
