You know , i'm sick of tip toeing around this fucking thread because every time i have an opinion about something, I get jumped on. Yeah, I feel really welcome.

 

You said "I have absolutely no sympathy for 'that'." We can only infer the "that" here was his suicide. Saying you have no sympathy for his suicide is saying that it is ok by you that it happened, so no it's not really that different.

When Corey died, I cried for days and I'm sure this one hurts (even with the pending charges on him) for the rest of the cast/crew/family/friends.

Maybe this hit me harder because as someone who knows what it feels like to want to die because your life is just up in smoke....and I was a fan of his (who he played on the show).

I was just as mad as the next person was when the charges came up on him. Like really fucking mad.

I'm... I'm confused what the difference is. Either way, you are saying it's a good thing he is dead, which is pretty clearly meaning you don't have sympathy for the fact that he killed himself. I understand why people are reacting the way they did, what he did was an abomination. I guess my real point is we can universally condemn what he did and who he was, while still having compassion for the fact that he was a human being and undoubtedly a very troubled one, and also a person who is leaving behind friends and family who now have two awful things to grapple with.

And it's all good @bachna84 I hope no one things I'm in any way defending him, i just think a conversation like this needs a little more tact since it does really put two very sensitive topics that normally have an obvious answer (child porn=bad, suicide=bad) at odds with each other.
