there must be people who think this NB album is perfect front to back right? like, a desert island kind of album? that's so interesting to me.

If you’re wanting to start somewhere that isn’t A Crow Looked At Me, “Clear Moon” is probably my favorite (a couple others are neck and neck with it)

 

That is a good one. I also recommend Sauna, @Sheaver10

 

I should probably revisit Sauna. I did not like it upon release.

 

It’s not as good as Clear Moon but I like it a lot.

Sauna is awesome. “Turmoil” is like the Mount Eerie version of I Felt My Size. The vocal melody always reminds me of it. Boat is unreal. Planet is great. Love the whole album lol.

 

Also love Phil’s words on Sauna:

It is about the idea of a small man-made wooden room crushed beneath a universe’s worth of bad weather; a concentration of extreme heat within a vast tough world. Is this Mount Eerie album as good as everyone's saying? I listened to one of his older albums and the music was just so sparse and hushed that I couldn't get into it but his latest sounds pretty deep
