I really like Sainthood, but I still like The Con more. I also like Heartthrob and Love You To Death though and wouldn't say they've fallen off a cliff.

I hate to be that guy that bemoans the generic pop direction, but I saw them this summer and they were beyond lifeless on stage. They looked like 2 people who used to play instruments and now just meander around over top of beats.

Their musical direction isn't inherently bad, but I can't say I find the execution to be anywhere near good

 

I've never listened to PUP before this song, but I think I want to now.

where should I start?

 

They only have 2 albums, and you can't go wrong with either of them. My personal favorite is their first, self-titled album, but The Dream Is Over is also very good.

 

I haven't seen them in a couple years, I think on the Heartthrob tour, but they weren't like that at all when I saw them. Plus they always have great stage banter.

They didn't, it was a real letdown. I've never been an uber-fan but I was eager to see a great show - minimal banter and I didn't hear a single song from The Con, So Jealous or Sainthood. Outdoor show on a beautiful summer night too, the stage was set for greatness.
