I also feel like instead of birthdays it should be conception day. I think the planets would have more influence on you when you're forming than when you're just being birthed

 

There's a valid psychological model that Jung talks about behind things like this or tarot cards or anything that would have been considered a kind of "chaos magic". Through that understanding though obviously planets or cards or whatever else don't predict anything about people, it's entirely perception based. I guess the real question is if that's in any way valid or useful.

I guess I'll note I think astrology is even a stretch for me to see the connection even in that way.

kinda. mostly I just think doing birth charts and shit is fun.

 

It is hard to say exactly. To be honest, there were some supernatural situations in my life when I could think that astrology is the truth, but sometimes I am convinced of the opposite. For example, I can't explain why the number 444 is following my life. I see it just everywhere. I even have read this article Angel Number 444 Indicates that It is the Time to Square Your Corners . It is nice, but hard to believe in it. I had the same situation with the astrology.

Just imagining a bunch of dude's in robes 2000 years ago being like "lmao Beszalburb is SUCH a virgo ewww".

really astrology was just a way to explore consciousness they didn't have science to be like "who am I". it's true that the macrocosm is the microcosm so I kinda get it, they definitely weren't dumb and just making shit up lol. but yeah it's relevance in how it's used today is pretty negligible.
