I have tried to stay away from spoilers too much because I wanna run the raid at least semi-blind. But, this makes me so happy. I fucking love mechanics and puzzles and Kings Fall is far and away my favorite raid. My "regular" group had that raid nailed down so well we'd run hard mode challenges on Kings Fall in like 30-45 minutes.

 

Well it sounds like your group is with it haha please think of me if you ever need a sixth because this thing gets real tough with non-serious raiders.

 

I grinded reallly hard yesterday and managed to get to a bit over 260 for the raid so we had a full fireteam going in last night. Most of the enemies weren't too hard in the beginning. Managed to get to the Bathing Ritual which was where we got stuck and eventually had to quit and go to bed after about 10-15 tries at it but I'm like 99% sure I know how to beat it

Gotta say, it looks pretty fucking badass when your whole squad flys up to the starting point too.

 

Yeah I wish there were more cutscenes but the voiceovers at the beginning of each room are pretty cool. Gives the raid and Calus himself more personality for sure. That's definitely something that should have been in all the raids up to now, but it at least should've definitely been in King's Fall.

 

Haven't started this raid yet. I know I'm going to struggle with my group and end up having to finish with people better at doing these things on my own. That being said, it looks great. Can't wait to try it.

The first time I heard him speak while running down a hall was so cool and unexpected. I agree that some sort of cut scenes would be cool (Unless there are some later on. I haven't had any but the intro so far). The imperial architecture and aesthetic of everything is awesome too.

 

finished the story and the Adventures plus the extra side quests are really great. Failsafes story about finding her lost captain was so sad :(

 

got around to 240 light and ugh the grind sucks

 

I'm sitting at 261 right now, I haven't felt that I've grinded too much or had a hard time getting to this level. I'm sure now will be a struggle to get above that though.

 

Yeah, up to the early 260s were easy (lots and lots of public events, mostly), the time past that has been harder.

 

the raid LOOKS gorgeous oh my god. so does the gear from it, cant wait to get my hands on some of it

 

I think I'm free like all day Saturday if anyone is down to do rat king/nightfall and raid

Awesome! I'll warn everyone now this will really be my first raid/squad based thing. I've always been anxious about it with people I don't know on LFG since I'm worried I'll bring the team down. It's why I haven't played much multiplayer games haha

 

I know I'm fine/passable in Destiny and completed all the raids but I still get super self conscious about my Destiny skills and worry that I'll bring the team down, especially after hearing how tough parts of this raid are.

so basically let's just all be anxious as a raid group together

so i got this exotic chestplate that sends out a healing wave when i use barrier on my titan and i love little niches like that. this game doesnt really have the mmo trinity of tank/healer/dps but i love that exotics plus subclasses can at least add a lot of variety to us basically just all being dps. so now i can provide a burst heal quickly, plus some cover, AND i can throw out a ton of damage with my hammers. or i could switch over to sentinel and actually use the shield to somewhat tank and still do decent damage. i love having options
