  1. We'll get another interview with "it somewhat reminds us of White Pony, like what you would expect from Deftones" and no release date in sight, and we'll all deal

has anybody been listening to these? I keep listening hoping he's gonna slip a new Deftones song in there or something but he's listening to Isis instead lol

  13. ran thru self-titled yesterday and tweeted some thoughts:

is the self-titled deftones album the band’s most underrated album (probably tied or neck to neck with SNW)? I think it’s their most unique record - has the unenviable position of having to follow up white pony. Regardless hexagram is the hardest deftones song ever and you can’t convince me otherwise - I forgot how extra chunky the riffs are on this album. Deathblow? Battle-Axe? Bloody Cape? This album was aiming for the head. This album came out on the final day of my junior year of high school and remembering rushing through my last final just so I could go to Best Buy (lol) to buy this on compact disc. Only thing I listened to that summer.

there is no such as a bad Deftones album but if I had to rank them it would be:

    1. White Pony
    2. Diamond Eyes
    3. Deftones
    4. Around The Fur
    5. Saturday Night Wrist
    6. Gore
    7. Koi No Yokan
    8. Adrenaline

but I also don't think there is a wrong order

  14. I wrote it in my review for Diamond Eyes back on AP.net about how Diamond Eyes is such an incredible record and such a touching tribute of Chi.

    that's probably my order too

There's no wrong order... besides Adrenaline at #8. My own rankings change kinda ridiculously every time I revisit this band.

This time of year Diamond Eyes makes a big push for #1 usually.

I’ve been really into the self titled this year more than ever before. Battle Axe has become one of my favorite Deftones songs. Those riffs are incredible

Self Titled is definitely in their highest tier somewhere.

Hexagram is my fav Deftones song but WGTB is undeniably harder.

the ending is one of the heaviest moments but WGTB is top to bottom insanely heavy.

in general, S/T has their heaviest moments imo. ATF probably takes the cake for second

idk if you would consider it their "heaviest" song bc they didn't tune their guitars as low at the time but Rickets is their most savage song imo

ATF will always be my favorite. Rickets, Lhabia, and Lotion all go hard af.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

"Beware" needs to be mentioned on a list of their heaviest (and also best tbh)
