Other characters reading Batman for filth is always a good time.

On the “Netflix” feeling, I’d say it looks a lil better than that. But, remember that it was initially developed for HBO Max. Don’t recall if they switched to theatrical before shooting, they probably did, but that was certainly the initial DNA. Makes me wonder how that Batgirl film was shaping up, like what actual footage looked like.

Anyways, I think it looks mostly fine? Doesn’t excite me personally, but seems like the right kinda film for this character. Costume is a lil over-designed for my tastes, as is often the case, but it’s also fairly faithful. Got a pleasant amount of tokusatsu vibes. Hopefully people who love Power Rangers and those very-bleh-but-very-popular MCU Spidey flicks dig it.

 

Blue Beetle looks awesome on first glance.

 

Yeah, that looked like a lot of fun. I am a very big fan of that first BB run post-IC. I've got the complete single issues in a box somewhere.

 

Yeah the power rangers / anime vibes (esp in the sword scene) feeeeeels awesome

 

I much prefer the Kamen Rider look than a generic overly-assembled military armor outfit (Flash). Hopefully that shows where the spirits of the filmmakers were while making this.

Obviously, they wanted a hardcore deconstructivist, heavily layered, modern mythological series of superhero films.

Because nothing saying heavily layered like Zack Snyder.
