I'm probably the only Dawes fan that didn't know this but I had no idea Taylor and Blake Mills went to High School together and played in "Simon Dawes" previous to this band being formed.

Has anyone listened to that album from 2006? It's fucking awesome! This song rules

 

Yeah Dawes is basically Simon Dawes minus Blake Mills. Blake's middle name is Simon and Taylor's is Dawes.

 

it's a pretty solid album but i like blake's solo stuff and the dawes stuff way more
