Half way through now. I love it. I really hope we get some tour dates from them soon. They're one of my favorite shows that I've been to.

 

It is definitely a headphones album.

 

Pretty solid for sure

 

I listened to it again and I like every song; there just aren’t as many “wow” moments (whatever those are lol) for me as the previous 2.

 

Daughter has way more Spotify listeners than I would’ve guessed. Are they on some popular playlists or are they more popular than I thought or something else? Maybe their fans just aren’t as vocal. I’ve never heard anyone I know talk about them irl.

 

Youth was a pretty big track within the indie rock sphere, so I’d imagine it’s on a few of Spotify’s playlists. It’s in a ton of TV shows and a couple of movies as well

 

I give it 3 weeks before I get a push notification from Spotify that’s like “hey thanks for using our service but you know we have other songs besides Future Lover right??”

 

Future Lover is still my fav right now but To Rage is a close second, this is a chill album and I enjoy it more each listen

 

Been away for the weekend and only got to listen to this once but it's gorgeous and subtle and I can't wait to dive into it again tomorrow while I play Breath of the Wild or something

 

Dandelion is my new favorite, I feel like this album is a little more minimal for them but imo that’s a great thing, no filler and a very focused effort

Really really loving this album. What a fantastic band I hope they tour

 

Didn’t realize they did a little release set at Rough Trade, there’s an ok quality video of the full set on YouTube, played a good amount of new songs so it’ll hold me over until they hopefully do tour

 

This album really is a different beast with headphones. There's so much going on in "Junkmail." It's gorgeous. The bass level in "Be On Your Way" is wild

 

Listened to this on a walk in the woods today in the rain and it was perfect

 

It’s my favorite sounding album I’ve heard in a while. Idk how to describe it but the songs are like intricate and atmospheric while also being really powerful. The way the 12 ensemble strings swell at the end of be on your way, and the way the guitars just pile on top of one another on party, everything about wish I could cross the sea…idk I could rave about the entire album, I really think they made a gorgeous work of art and I kinda wished it was more popular.

 

Also the drums on the entire thing are incredible.

 

"Junkmail" is so good

 

"Future Lover," too. This album is such a grower

 

Junkmail has really grown on me too, honestly the only thing I usually skip on the album is missed calls. The one two punch of To Rage and Wish I Could Cross The Sea end the album in such a spectacular way. Holding out hope that they eventually go on tour

 

Excited to dive back into this now that autumn is rolling in. April wasn’t the worst time to release or anything, but rising temperatures and Daughter don’t really mix

 

Really hope we get a tour one day.

Continually hoping we get a tour from them. I’m lucky to have seen them a few times but I want more.
