we all know this band is super whacky

I'd like to see them change it up a lot by now. and be whacky in new ways. and it would be interesting if they went with a whole new production style.

I think it'd be really cool to have Jon do a lot of his non screaming vocals like he did back on Deathstar that we haven't heard since.

They could maybe do something that sounds influenced by the new weird america scene (think Ariel Pink). Members of the band are fans of that band and other similar. Or they could go very pop forward. They're probably talented enough to do a bunch of stuff.

 

I liked the bridge on Lost.

Dunno why people have such a problem with it.

 

who the heck doesn't like lost? from a sonic perspective that song is terrific

People understandably take issue with the lyrics dismissing the Atilla's frontman's brazen usage of the word "***got" IIRC He said he could call people that generally and not be homophobic.

 

Ah yea I knew about that, I didn't realize the hate from the song was primarily in reference to the lyrics, figured it was meant strictly musically. My bad for not being clearer.

 

Okay am I the only one who thinks the dangerous lady line in summertime gladness is about ariana grande? It's gotta be

For reasons I don't understand I've only listened to PV like 3 times. Silliness aside this song is really good. Sounds like a Tilian take on DBM, where the guitars are, well, DGD-y but not all over the place.

 

I'd be into a DGD Ariana beef

Band announced a west coast tour playing Mothership in its entirety. Holy hell I hope it comes to the east coast.

 

Me too. The album still holds up very well. It's my most revisited release ever from them aside from DBM.

 

Sweet the tour is hitting my city!

 

Will Swan said on insta these are the only dates they could book between recording the next album and holiday vacation.
