I'm so used to going to see bands in this genre and most of the crowd doesn't know the band's newer material, that I was surprised at just how many people know the Tilian stuff. Sure there were those people that were just on a Jonny Craig nostalgia trip, but a lot less than I expected.

DGD has a really good fan base that seem to have followed them from vocalist to vocalist, maybe the fact that they HAVE changed vocalists so many times has kept people coming back because it keeps their vocals fresh?

I think the fact that they can do tours that sell pretty well despite the fact that the bands they are taking out with them aren't well known is a tribute to how much people enjoy DGD. Hail The Sun, The Contortionist, Stolas, Dayshell, A Lot Like Birds even --- these are mostly bands that DGD fans enjoy, but I wouldn't necessarily call them household names, but the shows still seem to do really well and DGD continues to gain popularity.

geez only having 3 Kurt songs is crazy because you have to narrow down so many great tracks. Back in my concert going days and days of listening to dgd, I couldn't fathom them not playing a song like Rock Solid.

the jonny songs wow. weren't selected very well. Times New Roman is in the running for their most boring song.

Uneasy Heart with 3 vocalists is a shit show from what I've seen. Just play it with only Kurt or Tilian tbh

OK, I've never heard Strawberry Girls before, but holy shit? Saw a video of them on the Carson Daly Show and they were fucking incredible! Gonna put it out there that Zachy G is 10x the live performer Will is. Pretty sure he played the whole song (Volcano Worship?) with his eyes closed, note-perfect lol.

I still like Mothership and Instant Gratification a bit more. But, Happiness is the first album from a past vocalist to move past a Tilian album in my rankings. (I recently decided I like it more than Acceptance Speech). Kurt is great. The song Happiness is my favorite DGD song at this point.

Yeah. They really should have done at least 1,000-1,500 instead of just 500 for the repress. Hopefully another press isn't too far off.

Barely was able to snag DBM, Deathstar, & Happiness for my girlfriend for Christmas because I got on it as soon as they went on sale, and even then I barely got them... crazy.

If I have this on in the background I have to stop and pay attention to the "chorus" in Frozen One. Probably my favorite part of the album.

I think I still like the chorus to Chucky the most (I think). Also, I now really enjoy Here Comes The Winner after hating it when this album first came out!

2017 is in less than 35 days so I'm pretty sure Mothership is going to top my personal AOTY list (but not my objective list).

Agreed. That slight drop before "duck in shame and sink into my shell". I always have to turn up the volume a couple clicks when that hits.
