There is nothing I can say that already hasn’t been said, but I support the victims. DGD is one of my favorite bands of all time. I feel stabbed in the chest. I feel for Will, Matt, Andrew & Jon. I feel for Tim’s family who does not need to deal with another persons actions overshadowing his last album with the band. I feel for the victims who were brave enough to tell their stories. I just want to cry. I’m tired of everything.

 

I'm glad he's gone and hope it's for good. I've been avoiding speculation but I figured he would be out at least temporarily

My unreasonable wish would be for them to delay the album too, and eventually rework it without Tilian. Sucks that it's going to have this taint over it. Not that that is the important thing here

Probably has slicked back hair, a glass house, lives for New Year’s Eve, white bathing a suit, sloppy steaks at trufonis… a real piece of shit.

 

Glad he’s “gone” but don’t like the “stepping away” vagueness but that could be a legal safety net for them at this point.

I wonder if they can release the album with the vocals removed? That way at least I would be able to listen and appreciate what the rest of the band is doing on the album instead of just ignoring it or having to listen to shit Tillian on it - and then He can’t make anything off the sales (or at least not as much?)

 

I was thinking they actually do always put out instrumental sides of their work so they could take Tilian out if they really wanted to

 

Just wish the label would let them re-record the vocals but that would never happen. It's already in the can and being pressed.

 

Tho I’m not a production head so it might be hard to take him out and not Jon/Andrew?

 

There’s too much in motion with the physical releases for that to happen, at least immediately

 

Proud they’re moving forward without him and tbh a bit surprised. I’m not going to speculate on the wording. This was the right move.

They end up releasing instrumentals of all their albums anyway

 

Recording and production costs are really not cheap at all even for a band of their size and a re recording at this point just wouldn’t be in the cards. down the line we will absolutely get the instrumental but tbh with Tim’s death and tilians actions the rest of the band probably wants to move on from this album cycle as quickly as possible rather than dwelling on it with needles re records

It’s probably not gonna happen, but if I could pick the new DGD vocalist it’d be Amber Delarosa. Her band Moxy is already connected to the scene and she is wonderful. Plus, I’m tired of shitty men (no disrespect to Kurt) fronting this band.

 

I was just checking out this track the other day, she’s a fantastic vocalist.

 

what can be done for these women? as fans what should we demand of this band?

 

Haven’t even listened yet but all for a woman being their next singer. Probably the only way to go to accurately replace Tilian’s range.

 

for starters, Tilian's platform is forfeit, so there's that. I'm not even that much of a fan but TP rubbed me the wrong way even before these allegations so I really hope he stays gone.

 

demanding more from the band isn’t going to heal these women or anything. try listening to them, and everyone who came forward said they love the band they just don’t want tilian to have his platform to hurt more women. that’s been removed. whatever else they want is up to them but they don’t seem to want anything else as far as I know

 

yeah 80% of their material now is untouchable for really any other guy. Andrew couldnt do it even if he wanted to. and Ive heard his upper register and its good and i like it.

 

im a little worried they wont permanently kick Tilian. i guess well see.

 

not like they play much from other eras these days, before long the tilian era could be all but erased from their live show

 

Until tilian is let back in with open arms it’s speculation that does nothing

 

I think a woman taking his place would be a good PR move, and would mix up their sound for the first time since Mothership. But I also don't know how I feel about having a woman (or anyone really, for that matter) going on stage to sing a rapist's songs. Especially with what some of Tilian's lyrics have been. But idk. This is going to be messy for a while I assume.
